OK, REAL TALK.
My career didn't exactly start in the most conventional way.
New Year's Eve 2016. I was at a gathering in an apartment in Rome during a Christmas vacation. As the second hand approached midnight, we counted down from ten, the fireworks went off, and I had a sudden unexplainable conviction. I turned to a dear friend and told her, "I think I need to do something crazy."
She didn't understand and neither did I, but sure enough, at the end of the year we had just christened, I handed in my notice at my old operations job, bought a Jeep, shipped it to Bangkok, and spent the next 6 months driving 25,000 km across the planet from Thailand to Italy – right back to where the seed was planted.
It was during this adventure that I discovered my passion for crafting stories by capturing the world around me through video, and when I arrived in Europe with nothing but a camera and some T-shirts, I decided to pursue a career in video production in Amsterdam.
Initially focusing on music, I produced content for local artists, collectives, labels and live festivals. After returning home to Sydney, I expanded my skillset and focus – studying at AFTRS and moving into film, TV, podcasting and motion/graphic design for a diverse range of clients.
Feeling the dreaded comfort zone nipping at my heels, in 2022 I took my next big leap: moving to Berlin to set down roots in the creative capital of the world.
